François received his M.Sc. in materials science from INSA (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées) Rennes, France, in 2012. Then, he worked as an Engineer developing silicon solar cells process manufacturing at S’Tile in Poitiers, France. He completed his PhD in material sciences in 2018 between the laboratories INL at Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France, and LN2 at University of Sherbrooke, Canada. He developed a full fabrication process of III-V solar cells on flexible superstrate allowing the recycling of the substrate.
He worked at C2N, IPVF and LCMCP on bonding processes for III-V/silicon tandem solar cells. Currently he is a research and development engineer at Imec.
