Salim Mejaouri started his PhD in December 2019 on degradation mechanisms in perovskite solar cells under environmental stresses. He aims at understanding these phenomena with correlative characterization techniques based on electronic microscopy.
He graduated in materials science from INSA Lyon, France in 2017 with a double degree in mechanical engineering from University of Sherbrooke, Canada. There, he developed a MEMS-based device able to perform neuromorphic computing. Focused on process development and improvement, he also carried out finite element modeling, signal processing and characterization of microstructures. In 2018, he joined the IPVF as a research engineer and he implemented a laser-based interconnection process (P1-P2-P3) for perovskite modules.
